Review: Huck Finn

So, after being tired of Huck Finn, I got sucked back in.  This book makes me laugh out loud.

I’m not going to re-hash the plot.  Essentially–I like it.  Loved it even.  I recommend it.  But there were a few points where I thought…mmmmm, this part should be shorter.  Especially the parts with “the king” and “the duke.”

Outside of those pieces, it was a lovely book.

Reeeeeaaaaadddddd it.

  1. I knew it was something people didn’t like previous to my reading of it. So, I guess I was prepared. Considering what a advocate of human rights in general that Mark Twain was and considering that it was written so long ago, it didn’t bother me so much. If it were a new release, I expect I’d have had a harder time with it.
