…Ninja peed on my bed in the middle of the night.

Ninja pee you say?  What the heck is that?  Well I’ll tell you.  It’s when you change a diaper and you slide the fresh diaper under the old one before you open up the old one.  But somehow she still gets urine all over your bed when you think you have it covered.  It’s possible, however, I wasn’t as effective as I could have been at say….2:00pm instead of 2:00am.

It’s possible there’s some sort of device to prevent this from occuring.  Even multiple devices.  Such as:

What I’m saying is that there are options other than changing your bedding in the middle of the night.

This is what I can tell you now: My eyes are burning; I’m super tired, and babies are exhausting.  This baby has decided to wake a little more often for even more food.  Because being in the 95% percentile for height is just not good enough.

But also they center on my SmileyPants and whether she slept late enough to be happy and whether she’s kicking her legs and cooing at my mother and whether she’s got her smile on.

Despite the exhaustion, Smiley is a treasure and her presence in my life is a pure joy.  Being a parent = sweet oddness.
